The Lenten season is a time to remember and draw closer to Jesus through spiritual disciplines such as prayer, fasting, solitude, service, and more. While these practices can lead us to deeper unity with Jesus, sometimes we focus so much on the practices themselves that we miss the true meaning of Lent and, in turn, what our hearts most long for. What might it look like to approach Lent differently this year? What would it take to find Jesus again and to enjoy him as your friend, your brother, your savior, and your king? 

This is the purpose of SIMPLY BIBLE’s first Lenten study: The Cross. Through Luke’s account of Passion Week, we will walk with Jesus as He steadfastly enters Jerusalem for the final days of His ministry. We will focus intently on His suffering, death, and burial, and then celebrate His resurrection. Why? To rest in His heart of love.
